From 1934 to 1939, Lydia Delectorskaya posed a lot for Henri Matisse, and has helped in his work, always presentin the workshop ; this collaboration lasted for years, until the disappearance of the artistin 1954.
Lydia Delectorskaya is not a writer, nor an art historian, however thanks to Henri Matisse himself, she was able to bring together extensive photographic documentation on his way of working.
