Raymond Thibésart was born in Bar-sur-Aube on May 2, 1874. The son of a wealthy family, his parents moved to Paris. There he met the Boggios (Venezuelan family). Raymond admired Emile Boggios (17 years older) for his talent and it was Emile that gave him his first lessons at 11 years of age. He was considered very sensitive and very talented. He was also known to be generous. Raymond painted for almost 70 years. In 1966 he became blind and stopped painting. In 1968 he passed away.
