ROBERT PAUL MAHELIN (1889 - 1968) was born December 31, 1889 in Paris. He was a pupil under the tutorship of his father, lithographer Léon Louis Mahélin. He was mostly a painter and was well known in the early 20th century. He exhibited on a regular basis, at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon des Indépendants from 1927 to 1950. He is known to vary medium from paint to pastels to some lithograph. He was also an illustrator and engraver, member of the French Association of Lithographic Artists.
